MLD is extremely gentle and relaxing using rhythmic pumping motions directly on dry clean skin to dilate the vessels pumping the lymph fluid through the system. MLD is designed to use very light pressure because the lymph vessels lie just beneath the skin and are only as big as a strand of hair. Manual Lymphatic Drainage will boost immunity, speed up healing, cleanse the lymph of all debris, and flush out any excess fluid the body is holding to create a full body detox. The lymph system is designed to filter toxins, excess fluid, viruses and bacteria out of the body by dumping it into the urine to be excreted. The lymph system is made up of lymph nodes which filter the fluid, lymph vessels and lymph capillaries that are responsible for the transport of lymph fluid. This fluid is made up of fats, proteins, T cells and water.

            

MLD  consists of a 50 minute lymphatic massage which continues to work at detoxing the body from 24-48 hours after your session is complete.

 

After your session we suggest staying hydrated and resting while the MLD session works on cleaning out the body. Common things to expect after your sessions are:
